[Guide] Upgrade you Windows OS cd's

Post by Boyo on Thu Jul 02, 2009 11:16 pm

There is a thing called slipstreaming. It has been out for a while now and in a nutshell it's upgrading your operating system installation cd's. This guide is for Windows XP and Windows Vista. So, last week I decided I was going to upgrade from 60gb hard drive to 120. I hate downloading all the updates and service packs so I upgraded my Windows Xp home SP2 to Windows XP Home SP3 =D. Sounds like a bitch right? Nope, the artice here shows you how to do this from start to finish which takes only 45 minutes. Or you can spend 2-3 days having windows update download all the updates for Windows XP (5 for windows vista Evil or Very Mad).

Me too.

There was a time when I had no antivirus or anti maleware software, firewall disabled, loved to torrent, backed my torrents onto a 2 TB server, and used that slipstream cd once a week. Now I have Norton, still love to torrent, and *use that slipstreamed cd for any computer that crashes (usually the neighbors lol).
